It has always been my father's dream to open his own pizza restaurant.

After years of working as a butcher in Italy as a young man, he opened his own Italian deli in East Hanover and Italian butcher/ grocery shop in West Orange, N.J. After many years, his dream of opening a pizzeria became a reality in 1990.

Avellino's was founded in 1990 by my father, Angelo Marra. He wanted to provide customers with the same delicious Italian food he enjoyed in his small town in Avellino, Italy. Each day he would choose the best vegetables from the market, grind homemade sausage, and get fresh hot Italian bread straight from the bakery. He took the time to ensure each ingredient was at it's peak of flavor.

Today we proudly carry on that tradition and produce the same high-quality Old World Italian food that my dad grew up with. This includes our homemade fresh mozzarella, freshly grated Pecorino Romano cheese, scratch made dishes, sauces, soups and ItaliaN SPECIALTIES...
